Super Paper Mario Freeze Glitch Error Solution

If your here you'll most likly own the new Super Paper Mario for the Nintendo Wii and you will of found a bug in the game where it freezes when you speak to mimi. The green looking lass to the left. The youtube video below is a example of what happens. This error occurs in Chapter 2-2. The glitch isn't from scratchs on the disc nor the failure of the Wii, but an official mistake from Nintendo. With the converstion to PAL something went wrong and Nintendo openly admitted this on the Official Nintendo website. They also stated they would exchange the game for the new patched versions. If for some reason you still have the problem of the glitch, there are known ways past it. To my knowledge there are two working fixes

Solution One

The first way to avoid the gitch is to change the language to German. This should not be much of a problem seeming as once you have spoken to Mimi you can save with the box next to her, reset your Wii then change the language back a play Paper Mario without worry in English.

Solution Two

The second fix to the Super Paper Mario bug is to collect the key that is needed from the room where the spikes come down (last room on the top floor), go into 3D mode with Mario and jump on top of the spikes to obtain the key. After you have done this avoid speaking with Mimi and use the key on the door on the bottom floor guard by a dog like creature.
